Spotify Unwrapped 2023: Best Artists Take the Lead in Streaming Numbers

Since 2014,  Spotify listeners have anticipated an end-of-the-year celebration of music streaming.  This popular practice, which making a list of the top songs you listened to, as well as giving you an idea of your most listened to artist, has continued to be an important part of the year for individual users of Spotify across the world. It is even better, as the streaming platform has included something different by introducing some new features to increase the excitement.

This year, Spotify Unwrapped 2023, has been an actual drill of emotions for listeners, as music artists all over the world have maintained a consistent release of different varieties of hit songs, making it rather impossible to have just one artist or song claim dominance on our song list. The list topper for Spotify Unwrapped for 2023 has had quite the big year. From becoming a billionaire entertainer to claiming top Billboard charts and reigning for weeks, Spotify’s global top artist and the most-streamed female artist of the year is none other than Taylor Swift.  With 26.1billion streams globally, the Queen of Eras takes the Crown from Bad Bunny, who has excellently dominated that position in the past three years. Looking back at her groundbreaking sales and incredible performances, it is clear that this performer knows her onions and this has been a great comeback from the Swifties Queen.  With various hit songs, ranging from her originals re-released by with more artistic works incorporated to her Eras tour, Taylor’s productions this year are quite applaudable.

Coming in as the second most streamed artist of the year is the three-time King of the year’s top artist title, Bad Bunny. while the third position to The Weeknd. Then, the most-streamed global song of the Year goes to none other song than the year’s opening hit, “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus with 1.6 billion global streams. Again, we have in the third category +  Spotify’s most-streamed album of the year, a position which remained dominated by Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti, for the second year in a row.
