Trevor Noah is sure having the time of his life, judging by the genuine excitement in his silvery voice as he made it known to the world on Wednesday during the latest episode of his Spotify podcast, “What Now? With Trevor Noah” that he will be hosting the 66th Grammy Awards annual event for the fourth consecutive year. According to the South African TV personality, ‘I’ll be hosting the Grammys.’ Expressing this in a thrilling tone, he added, ‘It’s a lot of fun for me. I truly enjoy the Grammys because it allows me to witness the show firsthand and share my live commentary as the events unfold.’ Trevor, popularly known for hosting Comedy Central’s The Daily Show for 8 years, from 2015 to 2022, is not a newcomer to the industry. He has won awards for the show, showcasing his versatility as a comedian and talented host over the years.

The 66th annual Grammy Awards-nominee will not only host but will also be the producer, with Jesse Collins and Raj Kapoor serving as executive producers, while the event will be produced for the fourth time by Fulwell 73 production. The star-studded music awards ceremony is set to air on Feb. 4 from Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles on CBS, with access to live-streaming on demand on Paramount. Hopefully, Trevor might also become the second artist to host and win an award in the same year of hosting, as he has been nominated for the best performance in Stand-up comedy for his show, “Trevor Noah: Where Was I?”

The nomination list for the 66th Grammys was released over a month ago, and it is undoubtedly going to be a big deal with nominated artists ready to break records and make history. Starting with the “Kill Bill” singer, who is the most nominated artist on the list, SZA heads the nomination list with her most successful album, SOS, claiming a total of 9 nominations in three of the four most coveted categories. This marks the second time SZA will be nominated for the Grammys.

With 7 nominations, the second-most nominations goes to three artists: Mixing Engineer, Serban Ghenea, Victoria Monét, and Phoebe Bridgers, who also received nods as a solo artist and as part of her band,”boygenius.” Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, producer Jack Antonoff, Jon Batiste, Olivia Rodrigo, Boygenius, and Brandy Clark also made a tie with 6 nominations. Nonetheless, judging by the aforementioned list, women seem to be gradually taking over the industry, proving they can take over everything if the boys don’t buckle up.
