Based on streaming and sales activities, Eminem’s latest hit “Houdini” appears and ranks No. 1 on the Billboard Global excl. U.S and Billboard Global 200. Houdini is one of Eminem’s favorite and most admired songs. Eminem pays homage to the late Harry Houdini, an Illusionist, known for exceptional display of audacious stunts, escape act, and illusions, more of a magician. He passed away at the age of 52 at Detroit, Michigan of which Eminem also hailed from.

Houdini is the lead single from Eminem’s twelfth studio album The Death of Slim Shady(Coupe de Grâce) in his career. The beauty of the piece is of sweet rhythm that catches the audience’s attention easily. Looking through the lyrics of Houdini, a particular line was repeatedly mentioned, “Now for my last trick”. This is not something we hear frequently in Eminem’s music, are we still going to see more from Eminem? Or has Eminem given us his last performance? Is there more to be expected of Eminem in the music industry?

Eminem, before the Slim Shady era had a personality quite different from the Slim Shady’s. Houdini has been a special song of Eminem that has finally closed and ended the Slim Shady era, leading to the birth of “The Death of the Slim Shady.
